21 Celebrities Who Love Their Bidets As Much As We Do

Celebrities, professional athletes, and the like are no stranger to luxury. By the time they reach the peak of success in their careers, they’ve already enjoyed a level of luxury that average folks may never experience. Fancy cars, private jets, jewelry, food–these are all things being enjoyed at the highest levels by celebrities with deep pockets and a taste for the finer things in life.

But there’s one luxury that’s easy for anyone to enjoy and doesn’t require a Swiss bank account or a six-figure salary.

A bidet is easily one of the more cost-effective luxury items we as humans can enjoy on a daily basis. Why? Because it takes a disgusting, uncomfortable act and turns it into something you may actually start looking forward to–and starts at a price that is easily less than you spend in toilet paper each year.

But in America, there is still a major stigma around bidets and bidet usage. While our Asian and European counterparts have been enjoying bidets for decades, most of us Americans are still using just toilet paper after their ones and twos.

With that said, we’ve compiled a list of celebrities, athletes, and other entertainers who offer up their testimonials in favor of bidets. But while the bidets they use may be expensive, just remember that you can get a bidet for less than $50. And if you like that one, you’ll really like the high-end bidets you’ll see below.

Here’s the list:

Jake Gyllenhaal

Jake Gyllenhaal couldn’t contain himself when asked about buying a high-end toilet for Boston Bombing victim Jeff Bauman (whom he played in the movie Stronger). Gyllenhaal spent a good deal of time proclaiming his love for the toilet and bidet both on Conan and in various other interviews about the film and his relationship to Bauman. Jake had first encountered one while visiting a friend and has since been sharing his love for bidets as gifts. When asked about the luxurious bidet/toilet gift, Bauman said, “It’s the best toilet in the world.”

Tiffany Haddish

Entertainment Weekly sat down with Tiffany Haddish for an interview on being a Groupon Spokesperson among other things and…well…we’ll let her tell you how she feels about bidets. When asked what the best purchase she made since becoming the Queen of Groupon, she said:

My bidet. It was the best thing I’ve ever bought. It was $298, and I haven’t needed a man since. I’m telling you, it’s the most awesome thing in the world. Toilet paper lasts so long in my house because [the bidet] has a dryer on it. I love it, I gave that five stars. Everybody needs it. I tried to share it on Twitter and with all my girlfriends. They’re like, “Oh my God, Tiffany, why you are you sending us toilet seats?” I’m like, “It’s the best, you have no idea.”

Needless to say, Tiffany is in our corner when it comes to bidets and how awesome they are.

Adrian Grenier

Adrian Grenier might have the most expensive toilet on our list. Grenier, who is a big time sustainability advocate, was in New York to talk about Japanese toilets and the newly designed Neorest Intellegent Toilet made by TOTO. After securing a sponsorship deal with TOTO in the middle of converting his mom’s home into a green technology home, Grenier said that TOTO’s toilet was exactly the kind of toilet to fit into his “sustainability plus luxury” design brief.

Howie Mandel

Howie can be seen above proclaiming his love for the DXV AT200 SpaLet bidet. At a list price of over $4,000, this bidet and toilet combo is certainly a luxurious experience. Howie is more than happy to explain but if you don’t care to listen to him, this bidet’s lid rises automatically when you’re close to it, it lights the bowl, heats the seat, deodorizes the air, and more! You can see Howie’s love for the bidet as he discusses it in the video. By the way he looks at the bidet, you can tell it’s more than just an average bidet and toilet. It’s the height of luxury!

Whoopi Goldberg

Whoopi loves bidets—she unabashedly confessed to owning one in a 2015 Facebook post and expressed her confusion over why Americans hadn’t embraced the practice. She made particular reference to the Toto Toilette, the industry’s leading company. These toilettes range from the simple and inexpensive SanaGloss to the pricier Neorest, complete with bacteria-killing UV light. Whoopi acknowledged that many Americans simply can’t afford bidets, but claims that for her, “the initial cost is now pennies.” Despite a broad range of options, the use of bidets has never caught on in the United States, much to Whoopi’s chagrin.

Jensen Ackles

In this Architectural Digest video, Jensen Ackles reveals his favorite part of the bathroom: you guessed it, the bidet. His special toilet is equipped with motion-sensor technology, and actually raises and lowers its own seat at the wave of a hand. Ackles is obviously not tired of this bidet; as he admires its impressive functions, he tells the camera, “I mean, come on.” He likely owns a washlet at the high end of the market: the rest of his beautiful home was furnished with equally intriguing luxuries.

Will Smith

Will Smith is unashamed to declare his love of the $5000 Neorest bidet. He has gone on record saying that “it’s beautiful because it’s like a shower in the middle of the day… It does all the work for you.” The toilet’s advanced technology, which includes heated seats, robotic water jets, and an auto air-dry system, seems fit for one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, and certainly hasn’t gone unappreciated by the Smiths. In an interview with Access Hollywood, Smith chuckled about its charm: “You sit down, it’s warm, it’s just perfect.”

Howard Stern

Howard Stern’s co-host Robin Quivers spoke about her positive discovery of the Toto Toilet on the Stern Show, but Howard shared some doubts about its efficacy. He complained that it never fully cleaned him after use despite the fact that, in his own elegant words, it “starts spraying water up your ass.” He revealed that he uses the water spray first, the blow-drying feature second, and a test-wipe third, just to make sure he’s as clean as a whistle. Despite some concerns over the toilet’s functionality, Stern finished by admitting “I love that Toto toilet so much.”

John Cena

The American wrestler John Cena, also known for his impressive acting resume, is a fan of the Hello Tushy bidet. In this segment of Lou’s Life Changers from TODAY, he jokes with his fellow guests that “sometimes it’s needed.” He recognizes the practicality of such a technology, saying, “It’s what the body does. You can’t ignore it.” This particular bidet attaches to the water line underneath the toilet and features a spigot that washes you after your business is over. Despite the uncertainty of his peers, John Cena advocates for the Hello Tushy bidet.

Tom Brady

Courtesy of Sportess of Blogitude, Wes Welker gave praise to Tom Brady’s toilet with built-in bidet after a visit. Welker said it was the best toilet in the world and went on further to say:

“You go over and use his toilet, and you press this button, and it sprays water on you and all this stuff, and I’m like, ‘You gotta be kidding me.’” Wes told the press pack yesterday. “It’s heated, it’s all this stuff, and I’m like, ‘This is crazy.’”

Welker later goes on to admit wanting to go over to Tom Brady’s house just to use the toilet. According to the Boston Herald’s Inside Track, Tom owns a Toto Washlet which is one of the higher-end model of bidets you could own. Talk about a game-winning choice!

Kylie Jenner

Both Kris Jenner and her daughter, Kylie Jenner, got major bathroom upgrades when they purchased the Toto Neorest 750H toilet. The “intelligent toilet,” as it is nicknamed on Toto’s official website, uses UV light and a “special glaze” to sterilize the bowl. It also rinses itself with electrolyzed water, has an air purifying system, and uses an energy-saving system. Still adequately down-to-earth, the toilet includes a manual flush as back-up. Glamour magazine got it right when they said that the photos the Jenners posted of their swanky toilets give us bathroom envy.

Missy Elliott

In her second appearance on MTV Cribs, Missy shows off the luxurious bathroom of her sprawling home. In the video above you’ll see (among other things like two toilets in the same bathroom) her bathroom contains a separate, yet traditional bidet and toilet combination. While that type of bidet is nice, they’re not necessary to enjoy the benefits of something like a bidet toilet seat or bidet attachment. Either way, she’s a fan!

Kevin Nealon

Comedian Kevin Nealon almost immediately confessed his love for his bidet in this episode of Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show. He joked that he was surprised he was even present for the Tv show because he’s “on it all the time.” He also admired its steadfast accuracy: “I’m telling you guys… bull’s eye every time.” He even said that he was able to get rid of his water-pick, which got uproarious laughter from the audience. He went on to list its three speeds, beginning with the “fire-hydrant,” then either the “hydro-jet or colonoscopy,” and finally “fracking.” Despite Nealon’s dramatically increased water bill, he maintains that the smart toilet is totally worth it.

Kumail Nanjini

On Conan, comedian Kumail Nanjini gave a hilarious over-the-top interview about his first time using a bidet in Singapore. Before going into its miraculous features, he shouted “It’s amazing! Why is this not the only thing anybody’s ever talking about?” He declared that from here on out his life would be split into two sections: pre-bidet and “enlightenment.” He even went so far as to joke that the stream of water from the bidet’s spout is like the touch of an old lover, scandalizing Conan and the audience. He continued to say that after getting accustomed to its ways, he eventually was just using it to “feel like himself.”

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend

In a Teigen-esque burst of candor, Chrissy admitted in a tweet to peeing her pants upon discovering her regular toilet had gone missing. According to Marie Claire magazine, she stumbled into the empty bathroom thinking, “… Of course this would happen to me, and I peed.” Her husband John explained what had happened to the toilet, telling E! that they were in the middle of installing a Japanese toilet that “washes your butt.” It’s clear Teigen would rather pee herself than wait a minute longer for her bidet.

Leonardo DiCaprio

Leonardo DiCaprio is yet another fan of Toto’s toilets. He is reported by multiple sources to own the Neorest 500, which is compact enough to fit in smaller bathrooms and boasts a timed self-cleaning system and a deodorizer, among other attributes. In addition to being a Toto supporter, DiCaprio advocates the use of EcoJet, a portable bidet. The company donates a portion of its sales to his environmental organization Earth Alliance, furthering Leo’s contributions to sustainability. Leo recognizes both the impressive modern features of the bidet as well as its positive impact on the environment.

Tom Segura and Christina Pazsitzky

The Mommies, a.k.a. comedians Tom Segura and Christina Pazsitzky, are major fans of bidets. Listeners of the Your Mom’s House podcast know all too well that Tom and Christina love their bidet (they own a bidet from the Toto Washlet line) and it often becomes a talking point on the show. When not too busy discussing bowel movements, flatulents, and the latest degenerates to cross the internet, they’re busy being the biggest advocates for bidets in podcasting–it also helps when Tushy becomes a sponsor of the show. Keep ’em high and tight, Jeans!

Bert Kriesher (Video NSFW – Language)

While no Mommy, Bert Kriesher is best friends with Tom Segura and frequently appears on the Your Mom’s House podcast. Tom and Christina, in their advocacy for bidets and luxury, were probably an influence on Bert’s decision to purchase his own personal bidet but his trip to Japan was his first experience with a bidet. Bert now owns a Toto Washlet series bidet (here’s his daughter Ila trying it out for the first time) and is also a fan of toilet stools as you can see. Bert and the Mommies are living proof that bidets can be a light-hearted, enjoyable experience.

Brian Cranston

Brian Cranston is a proud Numi intelligent toilet user. Stumbling through the dark in search of bladder relief is not an experience above world-famous celebrities: Cranston shared that seeing Numi’s light is a delightful luxury, and he seems to be profoundly appreciative of the toilet. In an interview with Kohler, Cranston said, “I love this thing” and compared its built-in light system to a beacon. He gave the toilet glowing reviews, saying that he appreciated that although it “sings” to him, he’s never expected to talk back. Numi ventures one step beyond other comparable toilets, offering foot-warmers, ambient lighting, and wireless speakers to set the mood.
