This Brondell Swash 900 review covers a toilet seat bidet that has been on the market for quite a few years now. With longevity in the market, comes success–and that’s what the Swash 900 has going for it.
Brondell is an interesting company and has been making bidets since the company launched in 2003. They originated from a fascinating story about company founder Dave Samuel, who discovered bidets while on a trip to Japan and had a bidet spray water all over his pants. The area hit was a not-so-ideal area.
But just like that, after a mishap in a public Japanese bathroom, the rumblings of Brondell began and was developed all throughout the 90s to their eventual launch day. Since that time, they’ve been a major player in bidets and bidet technology.
But back to our Brondell Swash 900 review and namely, our opinion on it.

The Brondell Swash 900 Review
Our Opinion
For the price of the Brondell Swash 900 against the features you get, it’s a solid choice all around. It certainly comes in well-below the price of the higher-end bidets but still offers a lot. It can even be more inexpensive than comparable Toto models.
We will be fair and say that it’s not the MOST loaded with features. However again, the price to feature ratio is solid.
As an upgrade to previous models like the Brondell 600 and 700 models, the Swash 900 has achieved a history of trust and respect among bidet enthusiasts. This can be attributed to the Swash 900 bringing on more customization options for their customers. We’ll go through those details below.
The seat is well-built, although, can be a little bit loud sometimes. That doesn’t discredit the Brondell Swash 900 to us but something worth noting.
Setup and installation of the Swash 900 is easy. You can have it unpacked and installed in less than 30 minutes and be riding a luxury seat that soon.
These are some of the major highlight features you get which we’ll cover in our Brondell Swash 900 review:
- Front and Rear Wash
- Unlimited Warm Water
- Dual Stainless Steel Nozzles
- Soft-close Seat
- Heated Seat
- Wireless Controller (batteries included)
- 1 Year Limited Warranty
While these are the major features of the Brondell Swash 900, there are additional minor details we will discuss throughout our review!
We recommend the Brondell Swash 900 to any skeptical buyer! If you need more details, keep on reading!

Adjustable Rear and Front Wash
The engineers of the Brondell Swash 900 took the time to really focus on improving the rear and front wash capabilities (among other things).
The front wash was enhanced to keep up with the changing landscape of bidet technology. The sprayer is now adjustable both in pressure and in the width of the spray itself. But something else was added that previously didn’t exist on the 600 and 700 models.
Yes, the adjustable nature of the washes was never around previously. Both the width and pressure adjustment features did not come with the earlier models. This is where you get a big step up from basic bidet to luxury bidet.
Feel The Warmth
Keeping with tradition of the previously made 700 model, the Brondell Swash 900 has a tankless warming module that heats your water supply. This unless tank reservoir bidets. The benefit to tankless warming is unlimited water supply! If you’re someone who thinks they may run out of warm water during use, then tankless is the way to go.
That said, the main drawback to this is having the initial cold splash of the bidet. All tankless warming bidets have this problem so it is something to always consider. Tank reservoir bidet toilet seats, however, have warm water from the get-go.
The other warmth to feel is in the heated seat. Much like we shared in our list of heated toilet seat bidets, an automated seat warmer means you will never will have a cold seat again. A VERY nice touch, especially in the winter months.
Sadly, the Brondell Swash 900 model does not come with a warm air dryer. Toilet paper will be needed in order to pat yourself dry in the end. No big deal!
Dual Nozzles
The Brondell Swash 900 comes with a dual nozzle setup made out of stainless steel. While you may not see them very often, they are pretty sharp-looking over all.
The wash is pleasant and adjustable between 5 different pressure types ranging from soft to firm. There is, however, no enema wash feature.
Washing…With Air
Obviously we’re not using air to clean ourselves with. That would probably not work or feel very well.
Instead, the stream of the Swash 900 is aerated! This helps provide better cleaning action and is easier on your underparts. In combination with the width spray adjustment, you have a powerful yet comforting bidet stream.
Passive Use Features
One thing that is great about bidet toilet seats, rather than attachable bidets, is you get more perks like passive features. Passive features, as the name implies, are those that are utilized automatically or when you aren’t using the bidet toilet seat.
For a basic example, the nozzles are self-cleaning. This means you don’t even have to think about doing it yourself or trusting the person ahead of you did clean it. Instead when you’re done using the bidet, you can hear the nozzles self-cleaning mode activate.
Soft Close Lid and Seat
Always a nice feature, the self-closing seat is a great and virtually standard feature on bidets. Soft-closing lids are great because they promote keeping the lid closed which is hygienic. It also looks much better in your bathroom when the lid is down.
Eco-Mode
Having a 24/7 heated toilet seat means you will be using energy 24/7 too. However the Eco-Mode feature will power down most of the bidet, leaving only the heated seat on as a result.
The Remote
The remote is a simple design and very straightforward to use. And that’s something we really like.
Lots of bidets can have very extensive remotes that are designed to be as sleek as possible. That combination can sometimes spell the ease of use with the bidet remote.
Brondell remote designs are some of our favorite because they lend themselves to be easier to use without ever using one before. Anyone can pick up this remote and navigate themselves through the process.
Starting at the top you can select front or rear wash, between which is the universal stop button.
Down from there you have two adjustment control areas. Here you can change water pressure or seat temperature on the left control. On the right you can control the nozzle position.
Below that you can toggle which setting you would like to change. Each of those settings has a small light above it indicating which setting can be adjusted.
Overall, it’s a great remote and well worth mentioning in our Brondell Swash 900 review!
Brondell Swash 900 Pricing
As far as covering the numbers in our Brondell Swash 900 review, price fluctuates but generally stays around the middle of the pack for bidets like the Swash 900. Often times it can be cheaper than its competition but sometimes lacks the features of said competition.
However, the quality and longevity of a Brondell helps make up for what it may lack in any features.
Warranty
The Brondell Swash 900 comes with a 1 year limited warranty. Keep in mind some places may not accept returns, as bidets are hygienic products.
