Carex Health Brands Toilet Seat Elevator

See On Amazon

The Carex Health Brands Toilet Seat Elevator is a true toilet seat riser.  It’s not meant to be sat on by itself.  Instead you place your old toilet seat on top of it.  This model is for elongated toilet bowls, however, you can get the round model here.  The seat installs like a traditional toilet seat would, only with longer bolts.  You’ll remove your old seat, place the Carex Health Brands Toilet Seat Elevator down, and then screw in your old seat.  The long bolts come with the seat.

The arms can be removed and can also be made to fit your bathroom however necessary.  If you need one, two, or no arms, you can change that how you like.  The Carex model is of course easy to clean as well, however, isn’t as easily removed like other raised toilet seats.  detailed cleanings will need a little more work.

Drive Medical Premium Seat Riser with Removable Arms, Standard Seat

Drive Medical Premium Seat Riser

See On Amazon

The Drive Medical Premium Seat Riser (which we highlighted in our overview of toilet accessories for the elderly) is much like our last model in that it attaches to the toilet via your personal seat.  However unlike the last raised toilet seat, this seat fits on any type of toilet (round or elongated).  With a universal toilet appeal the Drive Medical Premium Seat Riser is as its name implies, “premium.”  But that doesn’t mean you’ll get this riser at a premium price!

The padded arms are around 20 inches apart and can be removed if need be, either one or both.  That provides flexibility for wheelchair-bound individuals and tight bathroom spaces.  There are zero tools needed to install the Premium Seat Riser and the bolts needed come with the riser.

Carex E-Z Lock Raised Toilet Seat with Handles - 5 Inch Toilet Seat Riser with Arms - Fits Most Toilets

Carex E-Z Lock Raised Toilet Seat

This model is a lot like the first model we displayed on our list and would be a competing product to it.  The Carex E-Z Lock Raised Toilet Seat features an easy to use locking mechanism.  This secures the seat to the toilet bowl along with the brace on the opposite underneath side of the seat.  While it doesn’t bolt onto your toilet, it will be very secure.  The padded armrests are removable and the seat will fit on any shape of toilet bowl.

This very lightweight seat is also easy to take and transport to your desired location.  If you’re on a long trip, this seat can be quickly attached and detached in a moment’s notice.  You can leave the original toilet seat on the toilet and attach the E-Z Lock Toilet Seat with ease.

The Best Raised Toilet Seat With Legs

Maddak Tall-Ette Elevated Toilet Seat with Extra Wide Seating Surface and Legs (725881000)

Tall-Ette Extra Wide Elevated Toilet Seat

See On Amazon

The Tall-Ette Extra Wide Elevated Toilet Seat is a bit different in comparison to our previous models.  As you can see, raised toilet seats like these come with legs to help further stabilize the seat.  These models are likely the most stable raised toilet seats you’ll find, simply due to have four connection points to the ground.

Now, the width of the Tall-Ette is pretty nice overall.  Much like an extra large toilet seat, it has a large surface area covering 22.5 inches by 18.5.  The legs are aluminum and are adjusted to fit over any toilet.  This is great because it can essentially work on ANY toilet type and size.  All that said, the arms are not removable like previously mentioned models.

PCP Raised Toilet Seat and Safety Frame (Two-in-One), Adjustable Rise Height, Secure Elevated Lift Over Bowl, Made in USA

Raised Toilet Seat w/ Safety Frame

See On Amazon

Like the last choice of our raised toilet seats, this option from Personal Care Products comes on four legs.  The seat is built into the frame which is crafted with 1-inch aluminum pipes.  The seat itself stretches down toward the toilet bowl, as you can see in this picture, giving you the ultimate flexibility in height options.  The top of the seat is adjustable between 18 and 23 inches.  Zero worry about installation for this raised toilet seat, you simply slip it over your toilet and it’s ready for use!

The grips are vinyl and the legs have stoppers on them, which helps pass along more stability to the user.  As mentioned before, raised toilet seats are most stable in this format.  The legs on the ground help give maximum stability to the seat.  However, again like the last model on our list, this raised toilet seat from PCP is not good for tighter environments.

Medline Locking Elevated Toilet Seat with Arms

Medline Locking Elevated Toilet Seat

See On Amazon

This Medline Elevated Toilet Seat is another bowl-locking raised toilet seat option.  As you can see on the front, there is a mechanism to lock the seat onto the toilet bowl.  It can be easily installed and uninstalled without the need to remove the original toilet seat.  The arms can be removed much like the others and the seat can hold up to 350 pounds, making it one of the stronger seats on this list.

To be transparent, pay close attention to the specifications of your home toilet.  The Medline isn’t as universal as some of our other options and could raise some issues if you have an elongated toilet bowl.  Be sure to measure your toilet bowl for this or any other seat on our list.
