Price is a major factor that makes the Astor Bidet CB-1000 an excellent choice to consider if you’re on the market. However, it’s especially inviting for brand-new bidet users or those looking to take the bidet lifestyle plunge. That and there is a 12-month warranty that guarantees your satisfaction.
If you’ve never used a bidet before, spending hundreds on a nice one seems a bit risky. You run the risk of potentially hating it or simply not knowing what you’re getting. If you need a gateway bidet at a price that you’re comfortable risking, the CB-1000 is an excellent choice.
Functionality–As you can see, the Astor Bidet CB 1000 has only on dial on its controller. It is as basic as any bidet you’ll ever encounter. You experienced bidet users know many of the other bidets featured on our site have additional features like a front/back wash or even a warm water option. However the Astor Bidet CB 1000 is not meant to compete with the best of the best in bidets. It’s sole purpose is to provide you a functioning bidet at a rock-bottom price. It’s the manual-everything car in the world of automatic.
All of that said, the quality of the working parts on the Astor Bidet CB 1000 seem to be top notch.
The spray is fine, nothing special. However, be mindful of the pressure. Since nearly all bidet attachments operate on pressure and no electricity of any kind, the pressure might be too much.
If the lowest setting is too much pressure, you’ll want to look into reducing the pressure on the water valve that connects near the wall.
The spray angle is a good angle too. It’s like common bidet sprays.
Look–A bidet, in its most simple form, is designed to clean off your bum after a bowel movement. And that is what the Astor Bidet CB 1000 is designed to do. Nothing fancy, nothing complicated. Just a straightforward bidet with a straightforward design. While this is great, the look is overall pretty bad.
The controller looks like someone grabbed your 1970s microwave knob and put it on a bidet attachment. The controller looks old, plain, and retro. However, the knob works well and isn’t overly challenging to deal with. It also doesn’t seem overly cheap but be sure to be careful with it.
Looks aren’t why you buy an Astor Bidet CB 1000. Best to just move on from here.
Pro Tip
As with many of the bidet attachments we feature on this site, we always recommend upgrading the valve piece that connects your bidet, water valve, and toilet tank.
Rather than something plastic and cheaply made, you can upgrade your valve to a metal T-valve like the one pictured here. This gives you the ability to shut off the bidet to then easily clean, detach, etc.
If you go with an even better T-valve, you can control the pressure coming out of your water source.

The instructions are a bit out of order from the way I did it, I followed the video instructions for the Tushy that are available online and that was easier to follow. The instructions included in this package don’t mention that you should drain the toilet tank before you unscrew the hose! I also didn’t use the flexible metal hose in the kit, I just used the hose that was already attached. I’ve been using it for a few days and everything seems to be working fine. The low end of the water pressure knob doesn’t work as well as it did right after I installed it but I just turned it up a bit and it’s fine. This seems like a good inexpensive alternative to some of the more expensive bidet attachments out there.

All in all, you won’t find a better bidet at this price. Period. If you have a bidet already but need one in one of your other toilets, it’s a cheap option that gets the job done. If you want to try a bidet for the first time because you heard good things from your friends or family, it’s a great introduction.
Sure, it lacks the features you’d like in a high-end bidet but this is not a high-end bidet. The Astor Bidet CB 1000 is meant to get you from point “A” to point “B”, so to speak. No gimmicks or foolishness, just a clean behind when it matters the most. Take care of this bidet and it will pay for itself in a matter of months, if not, days.

I bought 2 Astor c b 1000 and at first they were great but now the water selector knob is not working like it should , on the third click no water comes out I have to go up to the fourth click and then back down to the third . What can you guys do about it.
